Exercício:
O piloto de um barco pretende atravessar um rio perpendicularmente à direção da correnteza, impondo ao barco uma trajetória que faz um ângulo de 30° com a direção pretendida. Se a velocidade da correnteza for de 5 km/h, a velocidade própria do barco, em km/h, deverá ser:
a) 5,8 b) 7,2 c) 8,5 d) 10,0 e) 12,3
Desenhando-se o trajeto do barco, você irá perceber que como há um desvio de 30º da trajetória, a velocidade do barco será encontrando pela tangente de 30º.
raiz de 3/3 = 5/x
x= 8,6. aprox= 8,5.
